The demand for networked software is not decreasing, customers are increasingly demanding all-in-one solutions and compatibility. Even today, IT projects are often carried out in close cooperation between several software houses, and this type of cooperation will play an even greater role in the future.
There are many ways to achieve this compatibility. IT companies can set up joint ventures (for example in the form of a sole proprietorship or also in the form of limited liability) in working groups (following the example of the legal regulation of a company) for coming together to develop a new solution or simply offer interfaces to products and solutions of your partners. In the latter case, individual IT medium-sized companies present their own product to the customer but ensure the compatibility of the products by jointly developing the interfaces. In such a case, the customer gets all the advantages of an all-in-one solution AND (!) All the advantages of the solutions of industry champions at the same time, the IT companies are expanding their own portfolio. It’s a win-win situation.
Why is?
This form of cooperation is about networking solutions, assuming responsibility for the functioning of the interfaces by all companies involved and at the same time maintaining independence in offers, products, services and sales. Each company involved acts independently of its cooperation partners in relation to its own products and together with the cooperation partners in relation to the interface. Each company continues to determine its sales channels and strategies, discounts, special offers, additional services or extensions, etc. under its own responsibility. the customer contract does NOT start to run (the customer can of course deviate from this and conclude individual contracts without this connection to the interface). The customer determines which products have to communicate with each other, which data has to be exchanged, which special features have to be taken into account. The customer also expresses his desire for an all-in-one solution, because his individual customer contracts with participating IT companies only become binding once the interfaces between the ordered solutions have been made available. which special features need to be taken into account.
